Sunrise, Lundgren Subaru Hosted Shoe Giveway

BENNINGTON - On January 29th, Sunrise Family Resource Center and Lundgren Subaru of Bennington hosted a free children's shoe giveaway as part of a "Subaru Loves to Help" initiative.

This giveaway was made possible by Operation Warm, a nonprofit that offers free brand-new coats and shoes to children across the country. This year marks the third year that Sunrise and Lundgren have collaborated to bring this event to the community.

Over 100 children were registered to attend the event and receive free shoes. At the event, Sunrise staff and employees from Lundgren Subaru helped families find the correct shoe sizes for their children and pick from a colorful array of shoes available. Children were excited to receive their new shoes, and many of them eagerly kept wearing their new shoes once they tried them on. Shoes that were left over from the event were donated to local schools and families who could not attend the event.
